My work in this course was focused around analyzing descriptive traditions in metadata creation for libraries, archives and museums.  I gained experience with a wide variety of metadata schema’s, including Dublin Core, RDA, AACR2, DACS, and CCO.

For my final report, I compared the Australian Continuum Model for archives, which uses the post-custodial series for archival description, to the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Describing Archives: A Content Standard (DACS), a traditional custodial model for describing archives.
